For fans of the 'Warriors' series (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orochi, Hyrule Warriors, etc.) or the 'Historical Simulation' series (Romance of The Three Kingdoms, Nobunaga's Ambition) of video games by Koei Tecmo. I'm jot expecting a better story with a large cast, if anything a large cast ruins the story.

WO Warriors Orochi 4 characters (self.dynastywarriors) submitted 4 months ago * by GamingKreia. Like you can’t play Orochi in story mode as you unlock him once you complete the main campaign (except in WO3U where they added the extra 4 chapters and you can). Or by free mode only do you mean people who have 0 relevance to the story and don.

I meant that there needs to be more character involvement than the choice 10 characters that the devs chose. There are ~20 characters that you see more that 3 times in the main storyline, including the 8 deified ones. If you're gonna have a cast of 170, find a way to use them effectively or dont have a giant cast at all, like WAS (a game that was narc'd by the fanbase despite having almost everything they want in a warriors game) • • • • • • •. I for one think this game is inferior to base WO3 alone in every way. Massive disappointment and a real pity since it actually came out for PC too finally.

Magic is really cool, but it's not a good replacement for unique skills for all characters. I could live with the magic, but lack of camp and the incredibly simplistic mobile-like menu and lazy looking cut-ins for camp conversations not to mention all the removed content such as character color editor- ALL that makes every trip back from the missions such a disappointment and personally drains my motivation to play every time.

I can't say I care about a lot of the 'negatives' people point out, like no camp or simple UI. I play these games for the gameplay and nothing else, really. And I'm pretty sure the gameplay itself will be pretty damn good. However, there is one thing I can't excuse. The fucking soundtrack. I listened to a few remixes, and like. What?

Warriors Orochi 4 Character Unlocking

WO3 didn't really remix anything other than character themes, and WO3U, especially with DLC, had a ton of great soundtrack to choose from. But then you get to WO4, and all these 'Trinity' remixes are complete and utter trash, and worst of all, it's not like WO3 where only Lu Bu's theme got butchered, they butchered a bunch of stage themes as well. However, the PS4 thankfully has this cool feature called the 'USB Music Player' (Or Spotify if that's more your thing), and I just so happen to have a bunch of DW soundtrack in hand, so.Yeah, I think I'll be muting the in-game music and playing my own stuff instead. The problem this game has.

Warriors Orochi 3 set an immensely high bar. This would be like some snot-nosed whiny kid saying he's got a cool brother in the military who does all this stuff. But the brother, for some reason, isn't able to help him when the bullies call him out, and has a thousand and one excuses as to why he just watched. The game feels very much like it caters for those who enjoyed Warriors All-Stars, with simplistic. Some of the more interesting mechanics don't even happen straight away, Battle Arena is online-only.

And a lot of the presentation is watered down. It's like some cool military brother who walks up to you when you have a bully problem, and only after he's beat the shit out of you tells you how you were stupid to have got into the fight, and that he's not happy with you. No roughing the bully up, no dragging him to the principal, instead he does some lame, basic thing that wasn't quite what you expected from your cool brother. And it's in that way that it's lame. It's so basic, so pared down, that you feel lied to, and that's what's the problem.

And nothing, not even an Ultimate re-release is going to hide that the game is not quite what we expect in a Warriors game.
